At the dawn of the creation, Adam was introduced to the world through God’s finger.Life began and the world was brimming with love, which has connected all beingsin this world and guided us to the real life.

Hou Chung Ying’s latest solo exhibition continues his exploration of his usual theme, “hand,” and depicts a more profoundly touching landscape of life.Bidding farewell to the simple student life and entering the society, the artist has embraced the joy of marriage and the arrival of his firstborn. Each new chapter of life has unfolded with anxious anticipation. From an innocent youth, life has transformed the artist into a man with responsibilities on his shoulder. This journey, still at an early stage, has revealed the miracles and wonders ofthe cosmos.

Hou’s latest works are based on his personal life and epitomize various stages of hislife: his endeavors for a future career, his affection and care for the family, the social responsibilities he has shouldered, his pursuit of ideals. Through his works, different aspects of life are unveiled. Through his personal realization about life, the artist has connected a sense of emotional resonancein each viewer’s heart.

“Hand”is still the prominent theme in Hou’s oeuvre; however, in the latest works, it manifests the magic, from which human life and emotion germinate, and symbolizes the fate of the human race as well as individual emotions and feelings after the creation of Adam.

This exhibition resembles a theater that performs the interpretations of life.

On August 11, the show will begin.
