Theprocess of art is the process of the artist's thoughts. The answer is no longerimportant here. In such thinking and expression, we use our works to proveindisputably that we existed and lived artistically.

Parkview GreenArt is pleased to announce the opening of the contemporary art exhibition Fairytaleon Earth - Hua Qing Solo Exhibition on Sunday, July 28th, at ParkviewGreen in Beijing. This exhibition is the artist's second solo showat Parkview Green Art. With a different approach in comparison withthe one previously held, this exhibition not only presents representative worksof Hua Qing's artistic practice from the past, it also includes the latestworks created by the artist in recent years, including paintings, sculptures, installations, and artist's manuscripts presented to the public for the firsttime. After three years, Hua Qing brings his latest works within a newconceptual framework and he presents them in a new time-space context and in anew exhibition concept. What remains unchanged is the artist's pursuit andpassion for art, life and the world and his fascination for a “fairytale universe”,which is a central topic in his artistic creations.

Born in the 1960s, HuaQing is one of the artists who witnessed and contributed to the development ofChinese contemporary art. Thanks to his participation to the Artists Village ofthe Old Summer Palace in the early days, to the experience of the civil war inYugoslavia, to his travels and life oversea for more than two-decades, Hua Qinghas gained a deep knowledge and understanding of art: he thinks that the worldis not perfect, on the contrary it can be absurd. However, he likes the idea ofimagining a fairytales dimension to look at the world from a higherperspective. This enables him to be pure and kind. Therefore, artists shouldreflect on the existing human civilization, science and religion. They shouldexpress compassion for the past, present, and future with a direct and pureintellectual approach in order to find the corresponding forms to express theirideas. This is why when Hua Qing describes the “fairytale world”; he tends toassociate it with the concepts of loveliness, exaggeration and humor.
