Qian Quan can beassociated with the idea of artistic reproduction, with the concept of a newnarrative to break away with traditional conventions or with the mentalcondition of free thinking and creativity of the artists.  Parkview Green Gallery invited Huang Ji, SunJing, Niu Wenbo, Zha Meinan and Lin Fanglu to explain the theme of theexhibition to the audience through their installations, while trying to breakthe barrier of the inherent context. They will bring new and old languages,they will experiment with space and multi-dimensional methods in order topresent to the viewers new visions and thinking experiences. The show will beexhibited at the Parkview Green Gallery from October 12th to November 13th,2019.

 

Qian Quan refers to acomplex system of affinity and parallelisms. Over time, it implies richercultural connotations and romantic emotions, suggesting also imaginary andintriguing contradictions. Just as evoked by its pronunciation, Qian Quansuggests the idea of dynamism.

 

It does not advocateabsolute truth: on the contrary, it highlights micronarratives based onpersonal experiences and individual romantic expressions. They chose toreinterpret the traditional notion of tranquility into contemporarymulti-dimensional dynamic creation or to turn the traditional oriental literaticharacter to a more abstract contemporary philosophical thinking. They try tofind a balance between tradition and contemporary. They focus on thedeconstruction and re-interpretation of traditional objects through elementsfrom contemporary visual culture. They transplant cultural memory ondeconstructed objects, dispel their original logic, and thus construct a newdialogue with the public. From concept to content, this exhibition attempts to breakthe barrier of inherent context bringing new and old languages together. Theexhibition opens up expressive possibilities, multi- dimensional visual spaces,cross- cultural elements to bring to the audience a new intellectualexperience.
