The first edition of theXun XunYoung Artists Exhibition was launched  by Parkview Green Art in 2014. Now we are pleased to announce the opening of the 5th edition of the show. The original aim of this series of exhibitions is to focus on the activity of your artists, providing them with a unique platform to display their works. Over the years,Xun Xuncontinues to focus on the artisticresearches of young artists, with the aim to explore new possibilities of art development in the current era.

“The Garden of Forking Paths” is the title of the 5thedition of the Xun- Xun series. The exhibition aims to explore the different meanings and representations of garden. This group show presents both works by students and teachers, including works of Kang Lei, a teacher from the Department of Oil Painting at the Central Academy of Fine Arts and her 16 postgraduate students. The title of the exhibition is inspired by one of Kang Lei’s works and it is a quote from a famous novel by Jorge Louis Borges, written in 1944. The garden, as title of the exhibition, metaphorically represents the labyrinth of the future of art. The charm of a labyrinth lies in the fact that each direction can lead to a new starting point and to new gardens.

The 16 young artists come from different countries and nationalities. Even though they elaborate different artistic languages, all their works address the subject matter of gardens in relation to the notions of time and space. The garden as aparadise for growth, characterized by an abundance of plants and cultivation; the garden as a symbol to represent the future development of contemporary art.The creation of the images is the result of the free flow of the artist’sconsciousness and imagination. The whole garden shows a visual labyrinth. In asense, the painting establishes a parallelism with the novel.

The show willbe exhibited from November 23, 2019 to December 15th. Welcome to visit!
